Description: Boulder Truss Bridge Carries two lane West Virginia Route 11 over the Buckhannon River.
Superstructure: This bridge has three spans, 75'-95'-75'. The concrete deck is 27'-6" wide and 8" thick. The slab is supported on four continuous steel plate girders with web depths of 42". At the fixed bearings, a steel rocker sole plate was attached to a masonry plate, and at the expansion bearings, self lubricating bronze bearing plates were used. Strip seal expansion joints were used at each end of the slab.
Substructure: The bridge piers are solid concrete wall piers supported by spread footings. One abutment is a highwall type supported on a spread footing and the other is a stub type supported on steel bearing piles.
