Pocahontas County H. S. Water System Improvements

Description: Construction of a new water treatment system and water pipeline to improve potable water quality and system dependability. The School utilizes two (2) wells as a raw water source. The only water treatment previously provided was Chlorination. A new water pipeline was installed from the wells to the Water Treatment building and to the existing water storage tank.

System Improvements: The existing water pipeline was replaced with approximately 4,000 linear feet of 3-inch PVC pipe. The new treatment system includes a concrete block building, a 35 gpm water softener, chemical feed pumps, water booster pump, 1,000 gallon buffer tank, controls, and instrumentation.

Construction Cost: $150,000.00
