NATURAL GAS ENGINEERING:

Gates offers a complete range of natural gas engineering services for the production, transmission, storage, and distribution industries.  Some of those services are described below:

PERMITTING and SURVEYING:

Gates provides permitting and surveying for new pipelines, well locations, pipeline relocations and replacements, measurement and regulation facilities, compressor stations, and related equipment installations.   As-built surveys and mapping for production, transmission, storage, and distribution projects are also provided.

COST ESTIMATING / ENGINERING:

Gates offers cost estimating, range estimating, risk analysis, and project controls services for your natural gas production, transmission, storage, and distribution projects.  We will work closely with your project team to develop and maintain the estimate from project inception through completion and close-out.

DESIGN AND DRAFTING:

Gates has a team of experienced engineers, designers, and drafting professionals that will provide detailed engineering design and drafting, material specifications, construction specifications and drawings, and project design support for your natural gas project, including the following:

Production:

Design of production pipeline interconnects and tie-ins.

Design and layout of pipeline gathering systems.

Transmission and Storage:

Design of transmission pipelines and related facilities such as measurement and regulation, gas conditioning, and integrity management.  

Pipeline integrity management program development and implementation, risk assessments, HCA identification, data management, and prioritization.

Distribution:

Design of distribution piping, and related facilities such as metering and regulation, pipeline replacements, and other facility improvements.

Distribution Integrity Management Program (DIMP) development, including risk assessments and modeling, and implementation.  New Federal regulations expected to be released late 2009.

CONSTRUCTION INSPECTION and MONITORING:

Gates will provide on-site construction inspection and monitoring of your natural gas projects to ensure compliance with federal, state and local regulations, and environmental protection.  This service can be provided on a full-time or as-needed basis.
